How To Change Battery In Sloan Flush Valve
Step 1: Prepare for Battery Replacement
Before you begin, make sure you have the necessary tools and supplies. You will need four (4) alkaline type AA batteries, a screwdriver, and the wrench that came with your Side Mount Automatic Flusher unit.
Step 2: Remove the Cover Assembly
Loosen the two screws on top of the Sloan Flush Valve unit and remove the complete cover assembly. This will expose the sensor module and battery compartment cover.
Step 3: Remove the Sensor Module
Lift the sensor module from its plate and unplug the electrical connector from the battery compartment cover. This will allow you to access the battery compartment.
Step 4: Remove the Battery Compartment Cover
Loosen the retaining screw on the battery compartment cover and remove it from the Sloan Flush Valve unit. This will give you access to the battery compartment.
Step 5: Replace Batteries
Install four (4) alkaline type AA batteries exactly as illustrated in the instructions that came with your Side Mount Automatic Flusher unit. Make sure to insert them in the correct orientation.
Step 6: Reassemble
Once you have replaced the batteries, reassemble the Sloan Flush Valve unit in reverse order. Plug the electrical connector into the battery compartment cover, reinstall the sensor module onto its plate, and then reinstall the complete cover assembly onto the Sloan Flush Valve unit. Tighten the two screws on top of the unit.
Step 7: Test
To ensure that your Sloan Flush Valve is working properly, test it by flushing it a few times. If everything is working correctly, you should see a green light indicating that your Sloan Flush Valve is ready for use.
